I have two black cats and I think it's the perfect cat aggregate to have. Congratulations!

Luna looks a sweetie (as Ebby does too, don't want to leave her out). When we were interviewed by the dog rescue charity we eventually brought Bailey home from we were asked if we had a colour preference – no! Why would you?

Exactly, it seems a very odd thing doesn't it. As though you want to pick a pet to match the colour of your furniture 🤣

I am a big cat lover (big lover of cats, rather than a lover of big cats, although I have nothing against them either), but since I moved into a place of my own, 27 years ago, I've had black or mostly black cats, and one tortie. We lost our last 'Void' in January and aren't ready to fill the void yet, but next time I hope to get a tortie, or a ginger, or honestly anything other than black because I want a change! Health isn't an issue, I'd prefer a kitten but will happily rescue an older cat, but not a black cat for once!

It would be nice to have a cat that I can find in a dark room 🤣 We can't keep a collar on our older cat at all but I'm seriously thinking of buying Luna a little hi-vis one

What a lovely synchronicity to receive a black cat on your card and in real life. Truly witchy. I think the colour of the cat is meant to be unlucky or something so it might be why they ask. I'd love a black cat personally.
